This resource accompanies the Sankofa series of texts, a Canadian resource published by Rubicon. Sankofa is not my work--this item was created as a support to help teachers implement use of these wonderful texts in our classrooms (promoting the dismantling of anti-black racism, CRRP, etc.). This pack is for the "Early Civilizations of Africa" text. It includes:
-A teacher guide, meant to be projected to interact with students (no prep work or lessons to read through). The guide includes a variety of composition tasks (aligned to Ontario Language Expectations, 2023, with UDL approach in mind) and comprehension questions.
-A Reading Comprehension Check-In document for each reading, including a "Foundations of Language" component and aligned to the 2023 Ontario Language Expectations.
-Suggested assessment tools and a gamification template (optional).
