Early Childhood NQF Quality Area 1 Critical Reflection Journal EYLF Australia

Are you compliant with the National Quality Standards? Do you have an Assessment and Rating coming up soon? Are you a new service? Are you looking to upgrade the quality of your documentation to increase your chance of attaining an Exceeding or Excellent Rating? This series of resources has been designed with the Guide to the National Quality Framework in mind and supports you to produce a range of documents and resources that an assessor may sight in each Quality Area.

Assessors sight a variety of documents to ensure services are reflecting the Quality Standards to a high level of excellence. This Continuous Critical Reflection Journal is listed in the Guide to the National Quality Framework as a key document to reflect Quality Area 1: Educational Program and Practice. The focus areas and reflection questions are tied to key considerations within this Quality Area and allow all stakeholders at your service to put forth their ideas and contributions to the educational program.

This document is best utilised as an A3 size document positioned somewhere that all staff, families and children can see, refer to, interact with and add to each day. It can be utilised as a weekly or fortnightly reflection template or duringregular reflection meetings.
