Description
This activity is great for a child development course, or if your program runs a childcare center. This will teach students about the basic learning centers that are commonly present in a childcare setting.
Directions:
Have students complete the pre-activity questions. Previous knowledge needed: Definitions of learning centers and thematic units.
Discuss the questions and the students' answers as a group.
Students will then individually complete the virtual field trips for each learning center. Each learning center has a video that will take them on a 'virtual field trip' to a different ECE classroom. After the student watches the video, they should answer the questions below the video.
Optional discussion as a class at the completion of the activity.
