If you are looking for a creative and no-prep project to do at the end of your early U.S. history class, you have come to the right place! This Early American History Road Trip Project for Google Drive gives students a chance to learn more about different historical sites that pertain to the first "half" of American history, while also incorporating student choice and using problem-solving skills to plan out the order of the road trip. Simply post the assignment to Google Classroom and you are good to go!

This resource was designed to be used in an American history class that covers the first “half” of US history, with topics ranging from the first Americans to the end of the Civil War. However, if you teach the second “half” of US history from 1865 to present times, check out this resource instead!
