Ear and Hearing Model Construction and Evaluation
- Word Document File
Description
Learning Intentions - to understand the role of parts of the ear, construct and evaluate a simple model of the ear.
The activity requires no further resources than those included.
I usually start the lesson by reminding them that sound is a pressure wave of air and then give them the activity to get on with on.
Instructions for the activity are as follows;
1. Look at the shapes given to you on page
2. If you need help use the labelled diagram on page 3 to help you complete the table below with your partner. Try to fill it in as best you can. Each answer will carry a point value that you can total up at the end - try to get as many points as you can!
2. Cut and paste your shapes to produce a model of the ear. Remember to label each part of your model.
Challenge: Which part of the ear do you think is the most important and why?
