What educators are saying

I did as a quick class warm up activity this after a gaggle of my seniors missed a deadline, and loved how it really gets them to be honest with themselves while also being pretty supportive of each other and the things they're still working on figuring out.
Understanding and figuring out how to avoid procrastination is like a superpower for teens if they can hack it!

Description

The perfect reading and analysis activity on the Executive Functioning! Have your students learn about Procrastination and how it affects our lives.

High school students need executive functioning skills for all kinds of school and personal tasks, such as prioritizing responsibilities and using time effectively, studying and completing assignments, following through on commitments, and making healthy choices. With this package (and series), students gain an understanding of what executive functioning really means by breaking down the different skills and mindsets that make it up.

Procrastination is a common behavior that affects about 20% of the population and is driven by factors such as a lack of self-control, self-deception, and perfectionism. Procrastinators often prioritize their immediate desires over long-term goals, leading to negative emotions and a downward spiral. They may believe they work better under pressure, but research suggests this is generally not true. Students learn all about the concept, and then apply it to themselves and your school!

Perfect for in-class, at home, or emergency sub lesson plans!
