What educators are saying

I used this TELPAS practice activity with my intermediate and advanced esl students and it was exactly what I was looking for. Super helpful!
My students love that this resource provides them with opportunities to practice speaking without the pressure of peers. They appreciate that they can listen to their work and try again if necessary. They also love the tips and tricks.

Description

***Updated with a bonus Google Slides version, QR Stations, & backup version of the audio files!***

Do you want to help your ESL students (“EBs” as we call them in Texas ;) with the Speaking portion of English Proficiency tests?

Some students find the recording of their speaking uncomfortable and awkward – this product will help. For your EBs who are less nervous about recording themselves speaking – this product will help them score even better than they would without this specific, directed practice.

In Texas, the TELPAS is our ESL progress measure & the first year the Listening & Speaking tests were on the computer, they were nervous! To help our students get more comfortable and familiar with the Speaking portion of this important state assessment, I created some fun practice lessons & activities that I think you'll enjoy, too!

Even though these speaking practice items are designed for Grades 2-6, the activities & tips can be applied to any ESL Speaking proficiency test!

Give your students a real advantage on their English Speaking assessments this year!
