Description
ESL Reading - Ghost Stories (Southern States Edition) is for beginner and intermediate ESL students. Students will read local folklore while studying the culture of the United States. The edition includes four stories:
1. "Huggin' Molly" from Alabama
2. "Mammoth Cave" from Kentucky
3. "The Gray Man" from South Carolina
4. "Ghost Girl" from North Carolina
Materials are student-tested and include the following:
* speaking practice
* high interest texts
* scaffolding of higher order skills
* formative assessments
* speaking and writing rubrics aligned with WIDA assessments
