ESL English Lesson for Grade 2: 'Cesar Chavez' - YL Series (Lesson 8)

This is a complete lesson that I have made for 2nd grade ESL students. This bundle includes both the PDF and PowerPoint (PPTX) of the same lesson. The PPTX has animated answer keys which are explained in the lesson.

I often use these lessons to teach online and have my own school on Zoom. My target audience is for Chinese students who want to learn English, but these lessons are equally good for anybody who wants to learn English. I don't use Chinese in my lessons. Students should already have a good foundation with English when they begin this course. They should already know a bit about the simple past, present and future. Today's lesson focuses on irregular verbs and sentence organization. How do we put ideas in a logical order? This series goes over many of the basic conventions of English grammar. These lessons include the reading, vocabulary definitions, and guiding questions. It includes a writing lesson and exercises. It also includes a homework assignment for students to continue to build on what they learned today.

This is for a more advanced grade 2 class. I will make an easier grade 2 class in the future and I will make a grade 1 class in the future.
