ENY (Eureka) Module 1 Grade 5-GUIDED NOTES FOR STUDENTS

This resource contains both Powerpoint and PDF files that aid in implementing the NYS 5th grade math module. Module 1 is very time consuming for students to write on whiteboards. I have also tried using sheet protectors and the markers write too thick for all the place value chart work. With only 50 minutes per class, these notes have saved valuable time. By mid module 2, I found that my 5th grade students were able to keep up with the whiteboards. Since Module 1 is foundational for the rest of the year, it is essential that students are all writing exactly what is required.

The notes file contains Module 1 Topics A-F Lessons 1-16. Each lesson includes the recommended fluency activities, application problems, concept development. I usually staple the problem set to the notes for easier management of pages.

The file was designed as a guide for each lesson to aide in implementation.
