ENVIRONMENT ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS IN SPANISH BUNDLE (EL MEDIOAMBIENTE)

ACTIVITY 1

SPANISH 3, 4, AP ACTIVITY PROBLEMAS DEL MEDIOAMBIENTE Y SOLUCIONES

Teaching the environment problems of the world in Spanish is not easy. Therefore, this worksheet about the environment problems and solutions will help your Spanish class in the following way:

• Students will listen to an audio about the environment problems and they will take notes/ answer questions for each problem. The problems are: La deforestación, la sequía, el derretimiento de los polos, la extinción de las especies, los incendios forestales, la contaminación de los mares por plástico.
• Students will watch 4 youtube videos where they will have to read and complete in the blanks after that. These youtube videos present solutions to the environment mentioned in the 1st activity.
• Students will work on a 30 words bank related to the environment. All these words are part of the two activities from the worksheet.

The activity is perfect to teach the environment/problemas del mundo/problemas del medioambiente, desafíos mundiales, soluciones para los problemas del medioambiente, taught in the book avancemos, temas and any other Spanish textbook that works with the environment topic. You can use this resource with in person, online or hybrid instruction.

ACTIVITY 2

EL MEDIO AMBIENTE VOCABULARY ACTIVITY SPANISH 3

If you are teaching Spanish 3 or 4 and you want to learn or review the vocabulary for el medioambiente/problemas del medioambiente/contaminación/ecología y medioambiente, this product is for you. With this product, your students will be able to practice the following in Spanish:

• Students will learn a vocabulary strategy or put it into practice (optional)
• They will watch a video about the main problems of the medioambiente (credits to the youtube channel DosOrillasFFUU) where they will be able to listen to the pronunciation of the 12 problems presented in the document. With this video they will practice the new vocabulary and get familiar with it or remember it.
• Students will match a series of pictures with the right new vocabulary of medioambiente in pairs (credits to google pictures)
• Students will read a short text with a problem that is usually happening nowadays (incendios forestales)here, again they will put into practice the new vocabulary introduced.
• In the next activity students will read about solutions to the problems of medioambiente. Real life projects that other people are doing to address the environment problems. This can be either a reading or listening activity, where they will see the new vocabulary in action.
• Students will take a look at the future tense in Spanish and will also answer a series of questions about problemas del medioambiente.

This product is a perfect complement if you are teaching unit 3 of the textbook avancemos and if you are teaching the future tense without a textbook. Perfect for online or in person instruction.

ACTIVITY 3

THE FUTURE TENSE IN SPANISH QUIZ-GOOGLE FORMS
