    Description

    I created these Common Core (CCSS) aligned discussion and constructed response questions for The Jacket, Just Juice, Hoot and Wonder when I taught fifth grade. The questions are text dependent and they address a broad range of common core standards for English Language Arts. I divided my students into groups and assigned the books based on ability and stamina.

    The bundle includes:

    • 24 digital text dependent discussion questions for use on Google Classroom for four novels;
    • R.A.C.E.S. charts to remind students to use R.A.C.E.S. when answering discussion questions;
    • the same questions in digital and printable form.

    In addition, both the digital and the printable sets include six extended constructed response questions that prompt students to compare and contrast, write about character change and character development, write opinion, and write creatively.
