Description

My students hated vocabulary activities - until I started using vocab crosswords as an activity! This standards-based activity is perfect for lesson plan supplements, bell work, fast-finishers, test prep, and sub plans.

This bundle contains over 120 terms on 15 different crosswords and their answer keys, including my free resource "ELA Academic Vocabulary Crossword." These puzzles were designed with Florida B.E.S.T. ELA benchmarks in mind, but also work with many Common Core State Standards.

The clues are the definitions of the words. Please note: if a vocabulary term includes spaces or multiple words, do NOT include the space in the answer. For example, "textual evidence" would be "textualevidence" in the answer space.

These crosswords were designed with 7th grade in mind, but work well for 6th grade enrichment or 8th grade review.
