What educators are saying

Really useful for starting to plan my weekly/daily English time to support a Science of Reading approach with upper primary students.
A great example of how to guide teachers who aren't sure of what to do with their reading block - specifically 4 & 5th grade. Thank you for the guidance.

Description

Wondering how to structure your science of reading ELA block?

Included in this Google Sheet is a tab for each grade level K-6. K & 1 are lumped together as are 4-6, because the structure is very similar.

There is a tab for inputting your universal screening measures to select an instructional focus for students. Edit the column headers with the screening measures from your universal screener. Then, simply input your student's names and select the screening measure that reflects their lowest literacy skill deficit. Once you have done this for all students, you will be able to see patterns and group students for skill-based small groups, or, if several of your students need the same focus, you will focus on that skill during whole group.
