  • 15 adorable end of the school year cards for your students, with both a foldable version with two cards per page and a postcard-style card with four cards per page!
  • 50+ suggested words of encouragement for you as inspiration for what to write to your students, even the most challenging ones!
  • Digital version of the resource included (editable cards for distance learning)

Why I created this:

It is so fun to do end of the year activities in the classroom and do fun summer crafts, but the end of the year is more than just a lunge to the finish line--it's a great opportunity to tell your students that you care about them! The students who struggle the most in school academically and behaviorally are the ones who need the most encouragement.

Students who have been through hard things need teachers who will overlook the trauma and bad behavior and will communicate to them:

  • I care about you.
  • You are noticed.
  • No matter what you do, I will still want you to be successful.
  • When you make mistakes, I will still be here for you.
  • You are valuable.

Take the time to notice all of your students this year by giving them cards with unique messages in them. Your students who make your day easy, notice their positive attitude. Your students who treat you poorly, notice something positive about them, maybe for the first time. Your students who struggle with school, notice their effort they have been making, no matter how small.

I believe in the value of education. But for kids, the value of a teacher who cares and notices them is more important than any academic truth they will ever learn.

To use the PDF version of the resource:

  1. Print the pages for the cards that you want to give out! (Giving different cards to different students can be a fun way to personalize the message to them!)
  2. Cut along the middle, dotted lines.
  3. Fold along the solid black line (for the two-per-page version)!
  4. This should give you a card with plenty of room to write a short and sweet personal message to your students!
