EARTH DAY IN ELA Reading Writing Activity Display What Happens to a Water Bottle

This packet includes a rigorous reading passage and questions and two writing prompts based on a video and art analysis. The writings can then be combined to create an impactful class display (a great hall decoration!).

This packet is a great resource for an upper-grade ELA classroom to use on Earth Day allowing them to still celebrate this "fun" day, but still incorporate rigorous content. The passage provides and overview of the history of Earth Day, while the video focuses on the path a plastic bottle takes after it is discarded. Students analyze multiple sources on the same topic (CCSS).
