EAL Programme of Study - Years 1 to 5

Dear all,

This EAL programme of study was developed with the use of the ‘Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority’s (ACARA’s) English as an Additional Language or Dialect Teacher Resource’. This was in addition to using well established EAL programmes, such as those by Raymond Murphy, which are used in EAL schools across the world. Also influential in this programmes development was the ‘UK English Curriculum’. This has resulted in what is believed to be a very comprehensive programme of study to further trial and develop.

The programme has been organised into weekly focuses over a 35 week year from Year 1 to Year 5 with each week having a pre-defined warmer (or additional mini lesson) to accompany each main focus.
