What educators are saying

Easy to understand for kids with FASD, and best of all no childish graphics! This is a high-interest, clear, age appropriate resource on a sensitive subject.

Description

A social story aimed at helping people understand the concept of neurodiversity, which is that there are different kinds of brains. This story is a special Dyslexia and FASD edition for Neurodiversity Week which incorporates three kinds of brains (Neurotypical, Dyslexic and FASD) and relates them to three kinds of phones; none better than the other, just different. Through this story, we can see how accommodating neurodivergent brains (Dyslexic, FASD) is more logical than expecting them to act like a neurotypical brain.

This resource is suitable for children and adults, although the concept of phones and apps may be slightly beyond some age groups. Perfect for professional development, teaching neurodiversity or inclusion.
