Captivate students with persuasive point of view. This story will evoke excitement while meeting learning standards! This 44 page packet is packed full.
What's included...
Begin with schema about ducks and rabbits with two graphic organizers: KWL and Fact Chart.
Building background with themed vocabulary will assist language learners with words such as bill, wading, swamp and binoculars.
Students can follow up and define vocabulary with an interactive notebook page using matching graphics.
Dive into characteristics of each animal with a research fluency page.
After reading the story, allow time for kids to graph their opinion. Follow up with a class data response page.
Introduce point of view. Students will follow up with a point of view collaborate task developing supporting reasons before presenting and possibly debating whether the animal is a duck or a rabbit.
Summarize the week of learning with a persuasive response using text evidence to support the opinion!
