Are you looking for a fun, engaging, No-Prep way to practice reading fluency while enjoying award-winning picture books and learning about the Presidency and elections? Use my Duck for President Reader’s Theatre and activities in your classroom and your children will beg you to do it one more time! The students will love retelling this all-time favorite picture book.

There are 15 parts in this 13-page script, but they can be adjusted to have more or less. I typically created multiple groups in my class to perform the same Reader's Theatre. They always love watching their classmates AND performing!

Using Doreen Cronin's iconic, Duck for President, your students will get to enjoy high-quality literature while working on important speaking, presentation, and fluency skills. The great part is that even your struggling readers will love it! Fluency skills are easily practiced while allowing all students an opportunity to succeed.
