What educators are saying

This resource was such a huge help in reading Dry with my students, it really helped me keep the students engaged!

Description

Most of us take for granted that when we turn on the faucet, the water will flow. However, what happens if it doesn't? What if it's not just one sink in your house but all of them? What if it's not just your house, but every house in your neighborhood and for miles/kilometers around?

Summary
If there was ever a book that inspired me to stock up on water, this is the book. This was so realistic and will resonated with anyone. Neil Shusterman is great about adding just the right amount of gritty details to make the story line pop out of the pages. Having co-wrote this with his son, Jarrod, Neil explores a potentially fatal future that will affect everyone.

Southern California is desperate for water, but there’s nothing left and the tap has officially run dry. Neighbors begin to turn on each other and chaos is rising across the state. Alyssa is desperate to keep herself and her brother safe after her parents don’t return from a mission to get water. She pairs with unlikely allies in hopes of surviving. Dry is a gripping story of the lengths you’ll go to survive, and if it’s possible to live with yourself in the aftermath.
