Froggie Dresses for the Weather 3 Book Set- Students will love helping Froggie get dressed for the different types of weather conditions. Each book is interactive and differentiated with levels of pictures, discrimination, and matching.
Interactive adapted books are a great way to engage your emergent or reluctant readers. These books are a perfect addition to any PreK-2 and special education classroom and can be used for guided, shared, or independent reading as well as literacy centers or in as an independent work task.
Book 1: This level includes two sentences with picture supported repetitive text on each page of the book:
"Froggie is dressed for the weather."
"The weather is (type of weather)."
Students "read" the picture, locate the corresponding weather condition found in the flip-out picture bank, and attach the picture to complete the sentence frame. There are two picture sets included for differentiation, identical and non-identical sets.
Book 2: This level includes two sentences of picture supported repetitive text on each page of the book:
"The weather is (type of weather)."
"Put (clothing item) on Froggie."
Students "read" the picture supported sentences, locate the missing clothing item found in the flip-out picture bank, and attach the item to Froggie.
Book 3: This level includes one sentence with picture supported repetitive text and a picture prompt of Froggie dressed for the weather condition on each page of the book:
"Help Froggie get dressed. (picture of Froggie dressed for the weather condition)"
Students "read" the picture supported sentence, locate the clothing items found on the back of the preceding page, and attach the clothing to the correct body parts on Froggie as shown in the picture prompt.
