Dream Home Floor Plan Geometry Project - Distance Learning Capable!

This project-based learning activity provides the opportunity for students to create a floor plan of their dream home, and use their understanding of area, perimeter, and finance to calculate how much it will cost to build. Great for the Common Core mathematical practice of modeling in the classroom! Students research costs and realistic room sizes on the Internet and find flooring styles that fit their interests, and choose the type of location they want to build in to create the home of their dreams! The project includes a detailed rubric and teaching notes to make grading and planning easy!
