Description
The docuseries, Down to Earth with Zac Efron, follows Efron and Darin Olien around the world as they examine eco-friendly and sustainable ways to live and help our Earth. Olien, a wellness expert, also focuses on ways we can improve our own health. Episode 2 takes place in France and examines how water plays a fundamental role in their life. They discuss the Eau de Paris initiative which provides accessible water to everyone in Paris and reduces pollution. They also tour a water plant to discuss their water process. They also visit Lourdes, France. It is home to the most famous healing shrine in the whole world. This series would be beneficial in a Geography, Earth Science, Global Studies, Environmental Science, or Current Events course. This could also be used as a distance learning assignment. However, your students will need access to Netflix in order to watch it. One could also use this as an Earth Day activity.
My video guide contains 25 questions and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The series is rated PG. The episode is 40 minutes in length but you may want to set aside an hour so students can answer the last question and have time to discuss.
