What educators are saying

I love this resource. It lines up perfectly with the skills I have been teaching in the classroom. It provides a great review of the skills we have been working on in the classroom. It is a great way to engage my students and provide independence and whole group practice.
I really liked this resource and my students enjoyed making thier own posters. I know I will use it every year.

Description

Need an awesome lesson without using up your prep time?

Engage your students with this projectable lesson that takes them to a dentist office to learn about double final consonants using the FLOSS Rule. This lesson teaches when to double ff, ll, ss, and zz. The lesson includes 11 slides that will have your students interacting with words from start to finish! You could also use this lesson as center at your smartboard!

There are 3 printables for kiddos to practice reading and writing words with double final consonants. They can also create their own FLOSS Rule poster to help them remember the spelling rule. You could use the printables as a simple assessment. The sort and match center includes 15 word cards, 15 picture cards, and 4 header cards (ff, ll, ss, zz). Kiddos can sort the cards by the spelling pattern or play a matching game with cards.
