What educators are saying

This resource was very helpful and engaging. I had a lesson prepared but did not have a follow up activity to check for understanding. This resource did not require any extra prep and was easy to assign with a great variety of problems/graph types. Thank you for this resource.
I have used this resource a few times now. I love it and it helps my students so much with the concept.

Description

Students match 20 cards of graphs, scatter plots, sets of coordinates, mappings and tables to cutouts of each relation's correct domain and range in this activity. Once all cards are matched, students can also sort their cards into "function" or "not a function" and record their answers on the included answer sheet.

This download includes both a printable and digital version of the activity. The digital version is drag-and-drop in Google Slides.

The printable version's cards and slips match 1:1. In the digital version, there are 4 cards and 5 domain/range slips per slide, and once all slips are matched with their cards, there will be one slip left over on each slide. Includes answer key.

**Domains and Ranges are written in interval notation in this activity. For the same activity in inequality notation, please see Domain and Range Matching Activity {INEQUALITIES VERSION}.

Understand that a function is a rule that assigns to each input exactly one output. The graph of a function is the set of ordered pairs consisting of an input and the corresponding output.
Understand that a function from one set (called the domain) to another set (called the range) assigns to each element of the domain exactly one element of the range. If 𝘧 is a function and 𝘹 is an element of its domain, then 𝘧(𝘹) denotes the output of 𝘧 corresponding to the input 𝘹. The graph of 𝘧 is the graph of the equation 𝘺 = 𝘧(𝘹).
