Description

In these 12 Task Cards students practice finding the domain and range of a continuous function, they also practice describing the end behavior of functions, and writing their answers in interval notation.

Task Cards are a great way to add movement to your classroom and/or individualize learning. I use these in particular with my regular Algebra 2 class.

Answer Key that fits with the task card set to be stored with the rest of the cards and a regular answer key to match the students’ recording sheet are BOTH included as well as a cover page.

Suggested use of task cards: Print one set of task cards. Laminate if desired. Pair students together and set up a rotation so that each pair knows who they will hand off their task card to. Give each pair a task card and each student should have his/her own recording sheet to show work and record their answers. Time the students (two to three minutes should be enough) and then have them switch the card by passing it to another pair of students in the rotation.

You can also print a set per small group (of 3 or 4 students) and have them go through the task cards together. It’s completely up to you.

Looking for more domain and range practice? Check out these task cards. Use them as a differentiation tool or for remediation.
