What educators are saying

Adorable book companion craft! My students were so excited to make a character from the book. Also, it was a great direction following activity!
We used this activity for "Donut Day" during our alphabet countdown and it was perfect!! Great resource!

Description

Back to School Craft!

This craft can be used at the beginning of the School year for back to school or can be used at anytime during the school year.

Everyone loves the story "If You Give A Dog A Donut" by Laura Numeroff. I created this dog and donut craft as a follow up craft after reading the story.

He is cute, whimsical and looks great on a bulletin board or in school hallway.

Included with the craft:

  • I have included all pieces for the dog and donut, they can be traced or pattern can be used on a copier.
  • I have included a label for the front of the dog and donut: Add students name and donut they like. Color and Black and white included.
  • A sign to hang with the craft on a bulletin Board.
  • Color sheet
  • Class book with cover page and student pages.
  • Your students can each illustrate and write on their book page. Bind the book and place in your classroom library for the kids to enjoy over and over.

Your students will love creating this craft after reading the story!
