Dive into the history of Pugs with this fun and engaging informational text activity. Students will use reading comprehension, word banks, a quiz, and more to explore the breed's origins and characteristics.
This art project is perfect for a dog-themed bulletin board as well!
Did you know that National Pug Day is held every October 15? It is one of many dog and cat holidays founded by Colleen Paige and was launched in 2012.
The resource is easy to use; just print, gather some basic materials, and GO!
Students will utilize Depth & Complexity questioning along with higher-level thinking activities to explore and think critically about the history and characteristics of PUGS.
Activities include:

APPLY | Use Word Bank Words to Fill in the Blanks of Informational Text
APPLY and COMPREHEND| Take a Quiz and Find Evidence in Text

Over 1.5+ Hours of Activities (7 separate activities for all at once or in sections)

Materials Needed:
• Black 9 x 12 construction paper
• Lined writing paper
• Magazines- optional
• Colorful scrap paper
• Copies of newsprint - included
• Copies of Pug Student Page
• Scissors
• Glue sticks
• Thin black markers
