Description
9 Google Forms with French song videos and questions, set up as Quizzes.
9 French singer/songwriters (4 from Canada, 5 from France).
Listening Activity for French Students.
School appropriate songs and videos.
Used in Gr 5 French Immersion. Suitable for Gr 4 to 9.
Editable: Questions could be adapted for younger or older students, or based on the needs of your class.
You will receive 9 Google Forms in a Google Drive Folder, which you can add to your Google Classroom. Also included: Teacher Instructions & Tips.
Each Google Form is set up as a Quiz, with video links and questions for students.
Number of videos: some Quizzes have 1, some 2, some 3 videos.
Total: 16 videos
Questions: 6 to 12 questions are included in each Quiz, set up to self-grade.
Sample questions:
- Quelle est ta première impression de la chanson?
- Quel est le message de la chanson?
- Si tu pouvais interviewer la chanteuse, quelles questions lui demanderais-tu?
- Quelle chanson préfères-tu? (comparison entre 2 vidéos).
Use: I post one per week in my Google Classroom, and call them "Chanson de la semaine". Alternatively, you could use them all in one or two weeks as a "listening" blitz by posting one or two each day.
UPDATED: May 2020: two new Google Forms added, including the song "Mets du respect dans ton bac" by "Alaclair Ensemble", focusing on recycling. I tied this in with my Gr 5 Science unit on Energy, you may need to adjust/adapt the questions for your students, but the general message is great for all: recycle!
UPDATED: June 2020: new Google Form added with a French rap song about lemonade, for summer fun!
UPDATED: May 2021: one removed, new one added.
MORE TO COME: If Learn-at-Home/Distance Learning is extended, I may add more Forms with French songs. The price will go up for others, but you will have gotten in before then ;)
