What educators are saying

My students absolutely loved this project! They were able to learn more about dinos and share their knowledge with thier peers!

Description

These 'Collaborative Research Poster Projects' are my "TPT BEST SELLERS"!!!!

'Dinosaurs and Fossils' Collaborative Archaeologist Research Poster Project (2nd - 6th grade aligned): Transform your students into scientific archaeologist that have been assigned to dig on land they believe is filled with dinosaur fossils! But not to quickly...you need to complete a "PRE-DIG BRIEFING" so you know what you could possibly excavate! This is a super collaborative project and a fun end-of-unit assessment students will always remember! This project looks great for an upcoming parent night, end of unit showcase, and admin walk through assessment!

Promotes collaboration, inquiry, exploration, and creativity in your classroom!

This poster as a whole is made up of four 8.5 x 11 inch pages that when pieced together like a puzzle form a whole poster making the final poster 34 inches wide x 44 inches tall. This makes it super easy to assign as a group project giving students one piece of the poster to work on as a group, however, this planet research project can also be assigned as an individual project.

Four sections include:

Top Left - Basic dinosaur facts and info

Top Right - 4 fun facts

Bottom Left - Instagram Post your archaeologist would make

Bottom Right - Info card and sketch

Help your students become experts on their assigned dinosaur in a fun an engaging way! After the students are done with their research component of the project, students can color the bones, background and dinosaur before combing it with their partners to see the final colorful result.

TIP - Lay the finished four papers faced down and tape the pages on the blank backside after piecing them together. This works best as the end results are more precise when done later by the teacher. Afterwards, mount them on colorful paper for a "framed" and "pop art" appearance.

These look great as finished research posters and would be amazing eye catching pieces to add to your walls, bulletin boards, and ceilings!
