Description
In this engaging project, students will explore persuasive writing style and learn research skills. Students begin by reading an article about developing gene editing technology that scientists claim that it could be used to bring dinosaurs back. Students are asked to use evidence from the text to defend their opinion about bringing back extinct animals. They then research two dinosaurs and justify their reasoning about why those dinosaurs would be able to survive in their town's climate. For early finishers, there is a page with links to enrichment activities that connect to learning targets.
