Description

This is a no-prep digital learning activity that can be posted on google classroom for students to complete as an assignment. The sight words included are from Dolch's list of high-frequency words for Pre-k, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. Each slide includes 3 activities to build students automaticity of sight word recognition. The first is students will read the sight word, then they will type the sight word, and lastly they will drag and drop letters to make the word.

How to Use this product:

This product can be posted on your google classroom or emailed to your students. They can download their own copy to complete as an assignment. If you want to send individual copies to each student on google classroom, you upload it as an assignment, select the bubble that says send a copy to each student, and you will be able to see that they have completed the slides.

When purchasing, you will receive a google slides version. The product has editable text boxes for your students to write into.

It can also be downloaded as a PDF version if desired. If you would like to download as a PDF version, click file in the top right corner, and scroll down to download then select PDF version.

Why is practicing sight words important?

  • Students develop automaticity when reading high-frequency words, which supports fluent readers.
  • The more practice students complete, the more familiar the irregular spelling of common high frequency words become (e.g. said).
