Description
These are Google Slides you can assign in Google Classrooms or share your screen and use it during your whole group synchronous learning time (e.g. Google Meet/Zoom). You can also download it as a PowerPoint file and use it on your SMARTBoard!
Some tips:
- If you are using this as an assignment in Google Classroom, make sure your students have the Google Slides app if they are working on an iPad/tablet. (They won't be able to manipulate the movable pieces otherwise).
- Make sure you use these slides in EDIT mode and not present mode, so the moveable pieces work

Slides 4-5: Add with Your Fingers - 2 slides to practice the strategy "use your fingers". 6 addition sentences on each slide.
Slide 6 - Let's Learn About Addition - A slide that shows all 5 addition strategies.
Slide 7 - Let's Learn About Addition - A slide to help you teach the strategy "use manipulatives".
Slides 8-17: Use Manipulatives - Solve the addition sentence shown on the slide using the digital manipulatives at the bottom of the slide. Type the answer into the yellow box.
Slide 18: Let's Learn About Addition - A slide to help you teach the strategy "draw a picture".
Slide 19: Let's Learn About Addition - A slide to help you teach the strategy "count on".
Slide 20-21: Count On - 2 slides to practice the strategy count on. 6 addition sentences per slide. Click and drag the number to answer each question.
Slide 22: Let's Learn About Addition - A slide to help you teach the strategy "use a number line".
Slides 23-32: Use a Number Line - Solve the addition sentence on the slide using the number line and the bunny on the page. Type the answer into the yellow box.
Slides 33-42: Word Problems - 10 word problems. Click and drag the pictures to solve the word problems and type the answer into the yellow box to complete the addition sentence.
Slides 43-52: Make Your Own - Make and solve your own addition sentence. Use any numbers you like (type them into the yellow boxes). Click and drag the digital manipulatives at the bottom of the page to help you solve your addition sentence. (10 different manipulative choices: counting bears, unifix cubes, 2D shapes, linking chains, circle counters, food, space, ocean animals, bugs, zoo animals).
Sums are to 10 for all activities (except "Count On", which has sums to 17).
