What educators are saying

My school still uses whiteboards so this resource has been great for center and station rotations. It's easy to use and the kids love it too.

Description

Finally! A Math Workshop rotation board that does it all for you! No more setting timers or having to watch the clock to make sure your groups rotate when it's time. No more having your rotation board take up precious bulletin board space. I use this on my SmartBoard for Math Workshop, but it will work on any interactive whiteboard or projector.

This Math Workshop rotation board is an editable PowerPoint. You can edit group names, as needed. Each rotation is given 15 minutes, however, I give simple instructions on how you can adjust the time if you would like your students in a group for more or less time.

When it is time for groups to rotate, the PowerPoint will chime and the screen will transition to a slide for students to clean up and rotate to the next activity. These slides last for 3 minutes, but I also give simple instructions on how you can adjust this time, as well.

There are four rotations in this Rotation Board:
Guided Math- This is when I have my students meet with me in their groups to work on specific skills that they need.

Math Facts- In this station, students work on basic math facts. I have my students get on computers and tablets to use XtraMath.com sometimes, and other times they practice flashcards.

Hands on Activities- Students go to this station to play games that reinforce the skill that we are working on. I also like to use interactive Math journals in this station, as well.

At Your Seat- This is a "show what you know" type of rotation. Students work independently at their seats on the target skill our class is working on.
