What educators are saying

My students loved this book talk project. They loved the digital aspect and loved sharing their slides with the class
I was looking for a way for students to report on their independent reading books, and this was the perfect resource. I liked that it provided fiction and nonfiction options and that there was a good variety of standards that were being covered.

Description

Do you need an engaging and fun way to get your students reading AND sharing the books they’ve read?  Then you need a BOOK TALK PROJECT.  These Book Talk templates in Google Slides give your students the opportunity to share their favorite books and try to convince their classmates to read the books too!  This resource includes teacher directions and Google Slidestemplates in a Fiction and Nonfiction Book format.  The templates make it easy for students to create a complete presentation that gives some details about the book and a chance to “sell” a well-loved book to their classmates.

This Digital Book Talk Project allows students to practice 21st-century skills AND speaking and listening skills in an engaging and authentic way. With this resource, you will provide your students with a Google Slides template that outlines everything they need to include to create a complete presentation.  The Google Slides templates come in a Fiction and Nonfiction option. Both options are available WITHOUT the student presentation option - students can just share their presentation with the teacher for independent reading accountability.
