Description

This product is a FUN way to explore liquid volume. It ONLY covers the liquid volume portion of the standard:

MCC3.MD.2 Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.

See my store for a exploring mass activity!

This product contains the following:
*2 hands-on liquid volume exploration activities for students to sort liquid capacities, and estimate/measure liquid volumes
*Teacher directions for 2 liquid volume exploration activities
*1 recording sheet for the exploration with 4 open-response questions
*30 Task Cards that include: 10 cards to determine milliliters or liters of a listed item, 10 cards to determine estimated volumes of items pictured, and 10 cards that are open response word problems (answer key included for all 30 cards)
*3 different recording sheets for the task cards for Scoot, Scavenger Hunt, or a Math station activity

Note: The exploration activities will require a few prep items:
