Description
Are you looking for a fun and creative way to reteach, review, and enrich your recent math lessons? This product will do all of these things!
Reteach: Rather than using the same old worksheets to prepare for standardized testing, use student-designed math games. You can use the games that students have created throughout the year, or incorporate the making of the game as part of your test prep.
Review: At the end of a chapter/unit, have students design their own math game to prepare for their upcoming test. It's also a great end of the year project to show everything they have learned!
Enrich: We all have those early finishers! Allowing students to design their own math game encourages higher level thinking, while keeping them busy at the same time!
The math games can be designed to work with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, or equations. Your students are limited only by their creativity!
The great thing about the "Design Your Own Math Game" is the flexibility in making it as simple or intricate as you want. I've used it many times in my class, both as a quick review and as a long, detailed project.
The kids will take great pride in creating their game, and the rest of the class will have a great time playing (and learning)!
