What educators are saying

This activity was a great introduction to our Needs and Wants outcome in Social Studies. The students were very engaged with their groups and I overheard many meaningful conversations about whether or not something should be "saved" from the water or not and why. Great resource!
Kindergarten students ate this up! They absolutely loved this resource and I will definitely be doing it in years to come!

Description

Deserted Island- A Needs and Wants Activity:

Students are deserted on an island and must determine if objects are needs and wants in order to survive. Working in groups, different scenarios will change what objects are selected. Students will also be able to add their own objects and complete a writing piece to explain their reasoning. This needs and wants activity is great to use in small groups, as an introduction to or assessment to teaching needs and wants.
