From animated Teacher Blending Slides for whole and small group instruction and practice, to Student Decoding Slides with audio, for independent decoding practice and self-checking! Printable Word Lists with embedded Secret Stories® mnemonic sound images are also included, as well as a "plain font" version for scaffolded decoding practice. The purpose of the Secret Stories® is to demonstrate how all the words your students encounter every day are decodable, and if kids know the Secrets, they can READ all the words around them every day without having to wait several grade level years to learn each piece of the phonics code.

The Secrets explain the sounds letters make when they get together in words, with posters to help kids remember for independent reading and writing—making for the ideal “SOUND WALL!” The Secrets aren’t skills, they’re just stories that kids ALREADY know, based on behaviors they ALREADY understand.
