Description
This bundle of two decimal PowerPoints focuses on basic math operations when decimals are involved. Students will learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers that contain decimals. Both PowerPoints include a companion handout. Students can follow along on the handout, working through problems and recording answers, as you progress through the PowerPoint.
1. Adding and Subtracting Decimals: This 40-slide PowerPoint focuses on adding and subtracting numbers with decimals. After a quick review of decimal place value, students add and subtract decimals using base-ten blocks, and then the traditional paper-pencil method that involves regrouping. This PowerPoint also features 9 word problems (3 addition, 3 subtraction, and 3 two-step word problems).
2. Multiplying and Dividing Decimals: This 56-slide PowerPoint focuses on mutliplying and dividing numbers that contain decimals. After a quick review of decimal place value, students multiply and divide decimals using base-ten blocks, and then the traditional paper-pencil method that involves regrouping. This PowerPoint also features 8 word problems (4 multiplication and 4 division).
Please check out the PREVIEW of each PowerPoint.
