What educators are saying

I love having this number line up! It makes it so much easier for my students to understand how decimals increase and decrease. The fractions are also a wonderful thing to have up and will come in handy in a couple of months. Great resource!
I hung this up in my classroom during our fraction unit when we were talking about estimating fractions and it was a huge help! I wish I would've had it up at the beginning of the year when we focused on decimals. Great resource!

Description

Hang this number line in your classroom to help students build their understanding of decimals. Fraction cards are included with this product. Just added - percentage cards! I have this in my classroom and students refer to it often.

This number line has been a great help in building my students' understanding of decimals and fractions. The black background makes the colors pop and adds color to the classroom walls. If you prefer a white background, please see my other listings. This listing includes two options: all of the numbers in white for those who want to print on colored card stock and all of the numbers in blue for those who want to print in color. Fractions and percentages are also available in white and color. Be sure to check out the preview to get an idea of all that is included. Now includes an editable template for those who wish to add additional fractions and percents.

Check out my place value chart that also includes decimals!

Read, write, and compare decimals to thousandths.
Compare two decimals to thousandths based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Use place value understanding to round decimals to any place.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
Compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size. Recognize that comparisons are valid only when the two decimals refer to the same whole. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, or <, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual model.
