I love these and use them in small groups throughout the year. While text evidence is the focus skill, I find these engaging stories as excellent ways to build background knowledge and very useful when working with some of my English Language Learners. The kids find them fun to do as well.

Do your students have trouble finding text evidence to support their answers to basic comprehension questions? After reading short passages, your students will underline the evidence in the text that answers each basic comprehension question using a simple color-code.
