    Description

This is the printable and digital version for the December themed writing mini projects!

I use these a couple different ways in my classroom. I will either have it available as an early finisher task for the month or I will assign them as a week-long mini writing project.

    Each writing prompt includes:

    • Project example
    • Graphic organizer for planning
    • Space for writing
    • Rubrics

    Three Writing Prompts:

    • December Holiday Museum Room

Design a room for a museum that teaches visitors all about a December holiday. After creating the room, you will write the script for tour guides to memorize as they bring visitors around your room.

    • Christmas Graphic Novel

Choose a classic Christmas character and setting. You will then create a graphic novel that tells a story about your holiday character.

    • Holiday Spirit Mural

A building in town is hiring you to draw a mural on the side of their shop that captures what holiday spirit means to you. You will then write a poem that will be read on the day of your mural's unveiling.

When students are done I have them present in small groups or in front of the class if time!

I would love to hear in the reviews what your students thought and how you used it in your classroom!
