December Craftivity BUNDLE: Create Student-Centered Bulletin Boards

This ELA craftivity bundle allows your students to practice those essential (and tested) standards in a fun way! This bundle consists of three engaging activities that line up with December and Christmas. Students begin each activity by completing a series of worksheets. Two of the craftivities include reading short stories. After completing the worksheets, students use their worksheet answers as they assemble the craftivity. These print-and-go activities can be used to decorate a student-centered bulletin board or school hallway display for December!

Your students will review these skills as they complete these activities:

• The Elf activity includes three reading passages. After reading each passage, students identify character traits for each of the main characters in the stories.

• The Holiday Lights features a short story about a family hanging Christmas lights. After reading it, students identify the plot elements within the story. The plot diagram forms the roofline of a house Students write a statement about the theme on the door, and they list characters and the setting on the windows.

• The String of Lights activity focuses on identifying the meanings of Greek and Latin roots.

Each craftivity includes student-friendly directions that can be projected for students to refer to throughout the work time! An answer key is also included. Photos of the completed project are also included.
