What educators are saying

My students wanted to debate a science topic from class. I had no idea how to start to teach them the proper way to debate. This resource took the kids step by step through the process.
My students loved this activity. Having sentence frames and explanations of how to use them right there made the task easy. They were so excited and eager to debate.

Description

This debate outline helps students prepare for a structured debate. Debating is a great way for students to use their listening and speaking skills!

The outline includes:

  • 4 debate categories: opening statement, rebuttal, questions, and closing
  • explanations of the purpose of each category
  • sentence frames to help all learners create a script

Please rate, review, and let me know if there are any issues or any way I can improve.

Thanks!
