What educators are saying

This is a great resource for debating, especially with students who have little knowledge of the topic.
This was a great addition to my argumentative reading and writing unit. This allowed students the chance to practice supporting their arguments with details, facts, examples, etc. I will use this again!

Description

Digital Debate Choice Board is a fun and engaging debate topic board full of ten editable argumentative prompts with graphic organizers. Students click on any number on the interactive (hyperlinked) Google Slide board to reveal their "mystery" debate topic. They then complete an argumentative graphic organizer focusing on claim, reasons, and evidence. Afterward, you can decide to have students debate, present, and or write. Debate choice boards build critical thinking and reasoning skills, while preparing students to practice the art of presenting and debating. CCSS RI 8, W1a-c, SL 1, and SL 4) are addressed in this interactive activity. Digital Debate Choice Board can be used over and over again, with different topics. The prompts are editable, so change as desired.
