Unit Information – 44 total pages (Includes pdf and Editable Word documents)

· Two novel studies for Nic Stone’s Dear Martin and Dear Justyce.

· Novel Study Questions (separated by chapters, with Q/A resource pages for instructors)

The questions are only literal/recall questions that can be used as daily running quizzes as students read the novel. Instructors are free to create their own higher order thinking questions for these novels.

· Vocabulary handout (Definitions Resource Page included)

· Novel tests for both novels (includes answers at the end of the test). Tests usually include vocabulary, short answer, multiple choice, and character matching.

· An optional Essay at the end of each test (Grading rubric included)

The units are designed to be used with students and instructor interaction, but can also be used as an independent study for online or homeschooled students. The unit can be used for whole classes to read both novels together or to split classes into two groups. One group reading Dear Martin and one group reading Dear Justyce. This is entirely up to the instructor.
