Dealing with Stage Fright: Lesson Plan & Prezi

Sixty-minute lesson plan and Prezi for covering stage fright for public speaking class or public speaking unit.

The lesson plan covers

• causes of speech anxiety
• encouraging words about anxiety (i.e., when it peaks and how to prepare for that)
• a variety of techniques to deal with it
• a suggestion for speech preparation to minimize anxiety.

The eight-page lesson plan includes multiple "if time" activities that can be used if your class has more time or if you want to sub them in for another part of the lesson plan. In my classes, this material would be covered on the second or third day of class.

The lesson plan includes a link to the prepared Prezi and instructions on how to get access to an editable version of the Prezi.
