Day of the Dead - Día de los Muertos Activities

Are you looking for engaging Day of the Dead activities for kids to celebrate Día de los Muertos in the classroom? Your first and second grade students can learn about the holiday in Mexico and their traditions, vocabulary, and symbols with this easy to use resource. They’ll make a colorful sugar skull craft that’s perfect for a Day of the Dead bulletin board.

Use the printables at a thematic center or use them for individuals, partners, or small groups, or whole class.

Includes printable vocabulary cards in English and Spanish that are perfect for a pocket chart activity. The Day of the Dead information poster and two student booklets help students understand the meaning of the holiday.
